May always brings more gulls esp. near Lake Erie and Pukaskwa National Park but now they're lingering by my pond. They don't seem interested in the fish, just waiting for handouts from my neighbor. Have any of you actually seen gulls snatch fish from a garden pond or are they just here for free snacks?

@Wes-Mantooth Those gulls are playing the long game. Why fish when you can get freebies? lol. Maybe a gentle suggestion to your neighbor about not feeding them would encourage them to move on or fish naturally.
Right? Hard to blame them when the buffet is open. Might have to drop a hint to the neighbor before the flock decides to make this their permanent diner. Have you ever seen them actually go for pond fish, or do they always opt for the easy meal?
